Atlanta Movers

ALS Van Lines had the pleasure of working with the Atlanta and Fulton County Library System in the movement of the Auburn Avenue Research Library’s Arts and Archives Collection to the Georgia Archives Center for storage until renovations are complete.

This was not your typical move. We were responsible for packing, handling, transporting and delivery of delicate and historic documents and artifacts. We needed to work closely with the staff of the Auburn Avenue Library to ensure that all items were properly assessed, prepared and packaged in non-acidic paper to prevent any damage to the sensitive articles. Several of the items required custom made crates to safely protect them in transit and storage.

This project took five weeks to complete and at the end of the job we had safely and professionally moved over 10,000 linear feet of art, documents, periodicals and historic items from many of the legends of the Civil Rights Movement.

We take great pride in being able to provide the quality service required to set up, plan and execute a move of such importance. This move was completed on time, on budget and claim free.
